Nick Giannini’s art doesn’t make some bold statement about culture or society and he wouldn’t begin to tell the viewer how they should interpret his art. His work doesn’t explore the hidden realms of the human psyche or dictate his views of our world. Instead, Nick offers a fun house of images that melt the real with the surreal making ludicrous, intriguing, and abstract art. Nothing is what it seems in his absurd world – an elephant is not just an elephant; a city is more than just a city. The goal is to have the viewer experience their own interpretation of Nick’s artistic frenzy, to find a piece of themselves in his work and use his characters and landscapes to spark their own imagination and creativity. Nick is not one to dip his paintbrush in emotions and splatter it on a canvas, but rather to paint surreal concepts to stimulate the viewers.
