If you’re like me, you love to ride but are a little intimidated by the steep Bay Area roads, particularly in the City. Well don’t fret. Electric Bicycle Outlet comes to the rescue with a full line of electric bikes.
Regardless of your riding style, you’ll find something that suits your taste in the EBO showroom located in SOMA. They offer cruisers, choppers, trikes, mountain, and hybrid bikes. The bikes are extremely practical and built for everyday use. My favorite is the Cruiser. It’s hot!
I love cycling. I love wine. Now there’s a way to safely merge my two loves. Gears and Grapes provides wine tasting tours in Napa and Sonoma counties. The tour guides are serious cyclists and sommeliers, so you’re sure to experience and enjoy the wine country from a different, more environmentally friendly, and safer perspective. Top the trip off by letting Gears and Grapes book you into luxury accommodations, as Gears and Grapes offers one-day, weekend, and week-long trips.
Stop by the booth to learn more about this innovative organization. To learn more about the tours and the expert guides, stop by the Gears and Grapes website for more information.
Totally Tubular Design makes the finest Bicycle Tubes Bags, Tire Bags, and accessories from used tubes and old tires. Just one look and you’ll be amazed at the creativity and individuality of each bag.
Lauren and Scott Junker blend their individual talents to create unique and artful products. Best of all, their creative use of spent rubber tires and tubes means that these solids won’t end up in a landfill. Instead, one of these beautiful pieces could end up serving a useful function for years to come.
We appreciate Totally Tubular Design’s participation in the upcoming SF Bike Expo. We hope you’ll drop by their booth at the show. In the meantime, check ‘em out Online.
Out of town guests, your housing needs are covered! The SF Bike Expo is excited to be partnering with the Good Hotel. The Good Hotel is honestly “good” as it is a hotel with a conscience. The hotel décor is made from recycled and reclaimed materials and the amenities encourage guests to reuse and recycle. The best feature is the ability to borrow bikes and explore the city on two wheels!
Last year, all AT Showdown athletes had a great stay at the Good Hotel. This year, Expo guests can get 15% off the rate by typing in “RIDESFO” in the promo code box. It’s a great deal and you will feel good about yourself!
Coming all the way from the east coast for a second year in a row, Bicycle Times will be joining the Expo and sponsoring the Peddle Savvy Fashion Show. Bicycle Times is a knowledgeable and all encompassing biking publication offering not only print magazine but also online forums and merchandise to keep you connected to the “everyday cycling adventures!” As biking culture continues to grow, especially here in the Bay, Bicycle Times keeps us in the loop with their well-informed blog posts and magazine because as they say, “we are living in bicycle times.”
One of the most popular and original mountain biking publications, Dirt Rag, will be joining the Expo for a second year in a row not only with booth but as a sponsor of the SF Bike Expo! Dirt Rag has been supporting and informing the mountain biking community for over two decades. Offering print and web rag along with forums and merchandise, you can’t find a better perspective in the industry. Dirt Rag is the mountain biking forum of note.
SF Bike Expo is thrilled to have Dirt Rag return. Come check out their booth and meet the folks who publish one of the most knowledgeable rags in the industry.
“The SF bike expo is a key part of my North American Branding plan for Bern. No other event combines the fixed gear urban genre, Mountain Bike culture and general California bike enthusiast vibe like the SF Bike expo. Combine a classic outdoor venue like the Cow Palace, the comps, different shop participation, parties and it is a total win and highlight of our fall bike season. I am super excited to have our brand be a part again this year. It is literally one of the only events I feel comfortable saying will be a part of our marketing approach for as long as Phil and the boys put it on. Stoked for November.”
“The San Francisco Bike Expo brings all the varying niches of the local bike community together; custom builders, low riders, cross racers, dirt jumpers, and people looking for used and vintage parts and bikes. The guys at rideSFO are constantly pushing to make the show bigger and better. I’ll keep going because I think it has the potential to become a major regional attraction for cyclists and customers.”
“AT’s Showdown was one of the best events I ever went to. I travel Europe all the time and never feel comfortable. Today I rode great. I got to ride in front of my parents and that meant the world to me.”
“We at Yuba and the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship have been coming to this event since its inception. It has been a great way for us to unload the balance of our rental fleet and seasonal soft goods. We also have used the event to educate folks on the Stewardships future trail projects and get folks stoked on the whole Downieville scene. We are coming back this year and love to see that the event is not only growing and showing folks a good time but raising money for trail and bike advocacy. Way to go guys , keep up the good work”
“SF Bike Expo is an event that we look forward to all year. People seem to come from all over the bay area, which gives us a chance to reach a wider and more diverse cycling audience. We’re in the process of cleaning out a 35 year old collection of bike shop “runoff” and we bring all of the stuff that we no longer have room for. We also bring all of the merchandise that we have collected over the course of the year. Lots of killer stuff! The SFBE crew run a fantastic event and we look forward to seeing everyone on Nov. 6!!
“The SF bike expo pretty much ROCKED! Showing was a great group of retailers with a lot of diversity and unique products. The fashion show was cool and allowed the clothing/accessory retailers to show their stuff (our bike was even included in the fashion show). The crew at SF bike expo did a great job of organizing the event and promoting the participating businesses. All and all, we’ll be making the trip from Wisconsin to SF in 2011!”
Pedaler Clothing has blurred the lines between cycle wear and street gear. Yes, they’ve found the stylish medium that blends extremely functional and comfortable biking apparel with stylish and sustainable fashions.
Each garment is designed for functionality, fashion, riding visibility and fabric sustainability. All garments are and will continue to be manufactured in the United States and all garments are unisex.
Pedaler Clothing also donates a percentage of profit to biking organizations that promote and support the biking community as a whole. The SFBike Expo is certainly honored to have such organizations that stand on the cutting edge of bike fashion, sustainability, and advocacy.

We are extremely proud to welcome Paragon Machine Works back to the expo. If you attended in 2009, perhaps you got a chance to see the bicycle frame building components, bicycle frame building tools and bottle openers that PMW produces right here in the Bay Area. This year you’ll have another opportunity to see their finely crafted other high-quality products
Paragon is located in Richmond, California with a full service machine shop and has been around nearly 3 decades. And that doesn’t happen accidentally. You know you’re getting top-of-the-line work if it comes from Paragon Machine Works.
The 3rd annual San Francisco Bay Area Bicycle Expo returns on November 6th, 2010 at the Cow Palace. Last year, we turned the bicycle world upside down. We paired low rider bicycles with BMX bikes, showcased bike fashion, put on the first mountain bike dirt jump competition in San Francisco and ran a cyclocross race right next to those high flyers. This year, we bring it all back plus more!
The SF BIKE EXPO has 8 main events and features, keeping attendees in circulation around the two halls and outdoor facilities.
Vendor Expo Area: The Industry Trade Show hall that allows vendors to show off the latest and greatest bikes, gear, apparel, parts, and offerings to a very eager public.
Community Swap Meet: The swap hall is separated from the Vendor Expo area, and is the place to be for bargains and hard to find parts from independent sellers, bike shops looking to clear out older merchandise, and companies that recognize the need for an avenue to move discontinued products.
If you missed it last year, this is your opportunity to catch it again. Save the date November, 6th at the Cow Palace and look for more events and features to be added soon! Registration is open for Vendors, Bike Shops and Individuals. Please visit SF Bike Expo online TODAY!
